The Full Range of Cannabis’s Wellness Benefits, With No THC

Broad spectrum oils are a staple favorite of cannabis fans who seek CBD’s medical benefits, but who wish to avoid all traces of THC. Unlike full spectrum oils, broad spectrum oils are chemically treated to remove any and all traces of THC, the chemical compound responsible for the infamous “weed high”.

For users who want the peace of mind of knowing their products are completely THC-free, accept no substitutes: the broad spectrum oils available here are carefully monitored, manufactured, and laboratory tested to ensure the highest quality CBD, the full entourage effect, and absolutely no THC.

What is the entourage effect?

CBD, a chemical compound derived from cannabis plants, is receiving widespread acclaim for its potential to address a wide variety of health and wellness concerns. However, it is one of many cannabinoids that occur naturally in cannabis, and many other such chemicals are known to affect the body, your mood, and your overall wellness! When CBD is taken together with the plant’s other cannabinoids, the chemicals work together to produce a distinct and different bodily sensation, which many users find pleasant. This synergy is known as the “entourage effect”.

What is broad spectrum CBD oil?

So many users love the benefits of CBD and the entourage effect, but want to completely avoid the psychoactive cannabinoid known as THC. Broad spectrum oils are tailor-made for just this purpose, offering the full effect of hemp wellness in a quick and convenient liquid form — but with any and all trace of THC carefully removed.

Like their full spectrum cousins, broad spectrum oils contain a wide variety of extracts from the hemp plant. In fact, the only component of the base plant missing is THC!

While all products offered on CBD Choice are guaranteed to contain only trace amounts of THC (and are therefore legal in all 50 U.S. states and will not cause a high), broad spectrum products allow you the confidence that absolutely no psychoactive substances are present in your CBD treatment regimen.

How do broad spectrum CBD oils differ from other CBD oils?

For a full writeup on this issue, please check out our learning center article on precisely this question!

In general though, the difference is based on the number of plant components found in the oil. All CBD products are derived from cannabis plants. While CBD is believed to be one of the most beneficial chemical compounds in those plants, many others are present as well.

Broad spectrum oils contain not only CBD, but extracts from almost every other part of the cannabis plant. The only thing missing is THC — the psychoactive component of cannabis that is responsible for the infamous weed high.

Why do broad spectrum CBD products contain no THC?
For a variety of legal and personal reasons, many users are wary of THC — even in the trace amounts (under 0.3%) present in other CBD treatment options. Broad spectrum CBD oils are designed to meet the needs of exactly these people, and they offer the full range of benefits that full-plant options with virtually no THC content whatsoever.

Practically speaking, broad spectrum products contain no THC because of a combination of careful growing practices and laboratory processes. These products are made using very specific strains of high-quality hemp. Afterwards, the plants and extracts undergo a series of chemical procedures that isolate and remove virtually all traces of the psychoactive compound.

Are CBD products without THC better than those that contain THC?

There’s really no right or wrong on this particular issue. We should note, though, that none of the products on CBD Choice contain significant amounts of THC.

In fact, even our flower and full spectrum products are carefully cultivated to contain only trace amounts — less than 0.3% — of the psychoactive compound. Because of this, none of our products will cause a THC high, none will cause you to fail a drug test, and all are legal for use in the U.S., no matter which state you call home.

However, some users do report a noticeable difference in effect between full and broad spectrum products. As such, even trace amounts of THC may contribute to the entourage effect, and its effects may or may not be desirable for you.

If, for whatever reason, you want to avoid any and all THC in your CBD treatment, then broad spectrum oils may be the right call for you. Whichever decision you make, however, know that CBD Choice’s products are 100% legal, will not get you high, and are made from top-quality, high-potency CBD hemp.

How does someone know if they should take full or broad spectrum CBD?
This is a complicated issue, but it ultimately comes down to a matter of personal preference. To decide which product is best for you, only experiencing the effects of both can let you know for sure. Every body is different, and everyone has their own lifestyle that might make even trace amounts of THC problematic.

Broad spectrum CBD products contain virtually no THC whatsoever. If for personal or legal reasons you wish to avoid any and all of this psychoactive compound, then broad spectrum CBD oil is likely your best bet.

In terms of practical benefits, however, reasonable minds may disagree. Some users swear that the trace amounts of CBD in full spectrum oils (as a reminder, all of ours contain less than 0.3%) have a noticeable impact on the feeling that results from use. For many others, however, there is no noticeable difference. Only experience will let you know which group you fall into.

Regardless of which products you pursue, keep in mind that all CBD Choice products are legal everywhere in the United States. Because of the incredibly low THC content in even our full spectrum offerings, they will not cause you to fail a drug test — even for daily users — and they will not get you high.
