This CBD dosage chart is organized by body weight and includes three CBD dosages: small, medium, and large doses. These are the maximum dosage you should take per day, not per dose.

How Did We Determine Our CBD Dosages?
Our “high” dose is based on Epidiolex, the only FDA-approved CBD medication on the market. According to Medical News Today, Epidiolex CBD dosages are calculated at 5mg of CBD per 2.2 pounds (1kg) of body weight per day. For example’s sake:
- You weigh 150 pounds.
- Divide 150 by 2.2, reaching 68.2.
- You multiply 68.2 by 5, reaching 340mg of CBD per day.
We consider this a high CBD oil dosage because Epidiolex is designed to treat severe seizure-related medical conditions. Everyday CBD users don’t need to meet or exceed a dose pertaining to the treatment of seizure disorders. That’s why we consider this a high daily dose of CBD.
As for our “small” and “medium” doses, we used 1mg to 6mg of CBD per 10lbs of body weight. This is the accepted anecdotal standard for CBD oil dosages. Keep in mind that these CBD dosages are for average users not suffering from chronic medical conditions. As such, the recommended daily amount of CBD is much lower than our high, Epidiolex-based dosage.
In addition, according to a 2011 scientific review: “High doses up to 1,500 mg/day of CBD are reportedly well tolerated in humans.” If you’re taking CBD for specific or chronic medical conditions, keep this dosage in mind. Again, we are telling you this information for informational purposes only. 1500mg of CBD may be too high for a variety of CBD users, even those suffering from chronic medical conditions.

As we mentioned earlier, everyone is unique. Our CBD dosage chart is for informational purposes only because what works for one person might not work for you. In addition, the FDA has yet to regulate CBD products. This means that no universal dosage guide has yet to be developed. You must find the right CBD oil dosage for you.
