- Industrial Hemp Oil vs. Therapeutic Hemp Oil
You’ll see both CBD oil and hemp oil mentioned all across the CBD industry, and with good reason. But is CBD and hemp oil the same thing? The answer is yes… and no.
CBD oil can be extracted from both the hemp and marijuana plants, believe it or not. And while CBD oil extracted from industrial hemp, containing no more than 0.3% THC, is considered legal at the federal level, marijuana-derived CBD products are not. Marijuana-derived CBD products are also illegal at the state level in many locations.
These CBD oils extracted from marijuana often contain high concentrations of THC, the psychoactive constituent of cannabis. Such products are not sold here at CBD Choice — where all products are legal throughout the United States.
Hemp oil, on the other hand, is CBD oil that comes directly from the hemp plant and meets the federal requirements for industrial hemp-derived products. Therapeutic hemp oil is federally legal, and as such, has become the model product across the industry. It contains a high concentration of CBD with little or no THC.
Industrial Hemp Oil vs. Therapeutic Hemp Oil
So is CBD and hemp oil the same thing? While hemp oil used for its CBD content and resulting therapeutic benefits is derived from industrial hemp, there is an essential difference between what we call “industrial hemp oil” and “therapeutic hemp oil.”
Therapeutic hemp oils are those oils we use for the therapeutic benefits of CBD. You’ll find these therapeutic help oil products here at CBD Choice, offering you a myriad of potential benefits and uses.
On the other hand, industrial hemp oil is noteworthy for its similarity to other daily-use oils, such as olive oil or coconut oil. Industrial hemp oil can be used for its benefits, but it is primarily marketed as a product used for cooking, skincare, etc. — not for its therapeutic properties.
